Is a Hot Dog a Sandwich? By definition, a sandwich has two slices of bread; a hot dog does not. Remove the bread and it’s a sausage. Keep the bread, and it’s in the same category as a taco, wrap or gyro. Are any of those sandwiches? I don’t think so!
