Care & Support at T.W.C.
At Trenton Wesleyan Church, we believe showing care for others is an expression of our faith and obedience to God. Scripture calls us to love one another and bear each other’s burdens, reflecting Christ’s love through our actions. Through our Care Ministries, we share God’s love as we serve our church family and community in both times of need and moments of celebration.
Our Care Ministries
Benevolence Ministry
Provides support for the church community by sending cards and flowers when members are facing illness, loss, or other significant life events. The Benevolence ministry also celebrates major anniversaries and birthdays of individuals in the church.
Funerals & Bereavement
During the difficult time of losing a loved one, we can help with facilities, pastors, and organization of a funeral. Arrangements can be made to use our church and pastors.
Meals Ministry
Our meals ministry provides care by organizing and delivering meals to those in need, including families with newborns, the sick, or those experiencing loss, helping them feel loved for and supported by the church community.
Family, Marriage, and Pastoral Care
Personal meetings with a member of our pastoral staff to listen, give biblical counsel, and pray with individuals needing care. Pastoral support is often found when members of the church are navigating life’s challenge and in need of support.
Hospital & Home Visits
Our care and visitation team is happy to visit members who are sick, hospitalized, or homebound to provide a team of encouragement through fellowship and prayer.
Contact Pastors Don or Matthew to set up a visit!
Weddings
We help engaged couples work through wedding details and pre-marriage sessions which walks through married life and potential challenges which can arise. Our church and licensed pastors can be made available to support couples seeking a faith-based wedding ceremony.
Upcoming Ministry: Grief Share
Pastor Don is excited to begin leading a Grief Share group in the new year! Stay tuned for more details to see how you can be a part of this group!
Core Values of Care
Trust God
1 Peter 5:7, (NIV) “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
We bring our concerns and the needs of others to God in prayer, trusting Him to guide and strengthen us as we serve.
Life Together
Galatians 6:2, (NIV) “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
We actively support one another in times of need, offering encouragement, and showing God’s love.
Serve Others
1 Peter 4:10, (NIV) “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
We serve others using our unique gifts and abilities, reflecting God’s love and building up the church community.
